Event Details
Location
The workshop is hosted at the Gatton Student Center in the University of Kentucky. This is a large building with multiple entrances. We will be going back and forth between the Harris Ballroom and Worsham Cinema. The registration is at Great Hall, which is in the mezzanine of the Harris Ballroom. Once you get to the Harris Ballroom or Great Hall on the morning of 9th November, the rest would be straight forward. Here are some possible ways to get to the registration desk:

Directions to Great Hall
- Uber/Lyft : I recommend setting directions to Frazee Hall on Administrative Drive.
- Self-drive : Please park in Parking Structure #5 on south upper street. There is a walk bridge to campus from the parking structure. The document Directions_from_ParkingStructure#5 contains the directions from the parking structure to the Great Hall. Parking in Structure#5 is $16 per day.
For the three scenarios above, if you see doors next to a construction site, you are in the right place!
- There are two other primary entrance points, through Patterson Drive and Avenue of Champions. The document Directions_from_inside_Gatton.pdf contain directions in case you end up entering through these entrances.
- There are several other secondary entrances to the building.
- In case you are lost, there is an information desk on the third floor of the student center that is aware of the workshop. They can direct you to the rooms.
Wi-fi
UKy uses eduroam if you have it. You should have also received an email from UKwireless@uky.edu that will allow you to connect to UK-Guest using the username and password in the email. These are unique to you. If you are not able to access wi-fi during the workshop, please find me.
Talks
Please plan a 15-minute talk with a 5-minute window for questions. You can use your own laptop. We will have a backup Mac and Windows system. We will have usb-c/lightning to HDMI dongles for Mac. If you have a special connector/adapter, please let me know soon. If you want to use our laptops, please email your presentation to saviopoovathingal@uky.edu before 5 pm ET on November 8th (11/8).
Poster
As a reminder, poster width should not exceed 42 inches, and the height should not exceed 48 inches. We will have pins to help you mount the posters. There will be four posters on each board, two on each side. There are no allotted slots. Please find a half-empty board for you to mount the poster.
List of talks and posters
The new agenda with the list of posters is now available. The book of abstracts containing all the oral and poster submission can be found here: Book of Abstracts. We will be handing out paper copies of both at the registration.
Banquet
We will have buses to transport everyone to the banquet location and back to the student center. If you wish to drive on your own, the address is Castle & Key Distillery, 4445 McCracken Pike, Frankfort, KY 40601.
Coffee
We will be providing plenty of coffee during the workshop, but if you are a snob like me, A cup of commonwealth is right across the street from Great Hall, and there is also a Starbucks within the Gatton Student Center where the workshop is being conducted.
Poster submissions
All posters should be less than 42 inches (wide) x 48 inches (height) [3.5 feet (wide) x 4 feet (height]. We have about 60 poster submissions this year and we will not be able to accommodate posters that do not fit to this size.
